How To Make A Homemade Face Mask

 Hey guys!

Two or three years ago I used to be absolutely obsessed with home remedies for acne. I’d always be making weird concoctions and putting half the contents of my kitchen on my face. I’m less enthusiastic about home remedies these days but I’ll still whip up the occasional face mask because if you can make it for free, why buy it? (probably my life’s motto!!) So today I thought I would share with you how to make your very own face mask at home.

First off, yoghurt is a really great base for any face mask. It has zinc and lactic acid which help remove dead skin cells and tighten pores. Just be sure to get the non-flavoured variety as flavoured yoghurt can cause irritation and could make acne worse.

Next honey, I think this is an essential. It has antioxidants, antibacterial properties and a ton of other good stuff. I definitely think you should include it in all face masks. Or you could even use just honey and nothing else (be warned it is very sticky and messy!)

After these two ingredients it’s really up to you what you add. I’d recommend:
-         Oats
-         Cucumber
-         Cocoa powder
-         Cinnamon (only a small amount though, could cause irritation)
-         Bananas

There’s loads more you could add too, they’re just the things I’ve tried in the past!

I hope you enjoyed this simple recipe for facemasks and let me know if you know of any other skin loving ingredients!
