Hey guys!
So you know when you have a cold and a cough and
you’re throat is sore and you’re just completely exhausted? Well I’ve been
feeling like that the past week. I think something’s going around and
everybody’s picking it up cause we’re all worn out from going back to school.
Well as I’m feeling as bleugh as I am, I decided to have a little pamper
evening for myself. I need to
start doing more of these, especially as I’m bound to be stressed out this year
with exams. I think everybody needs to take a little time out every now and
again to treat themselves and make themselves feel refreshed. So today I
thought I would share my tips on how to have the best pamper evening ever.
Run a bubble bath
Few things are more relaxing than a hot bubbly bath.
Just run some hot water, add bubbles and sink into the warmth. If you had bath bombs
they would make it even better. I spied some Lush bath bombs my sister got for
her birthday recently while I was running the bath and was tempted to steal one
but decided it was better not to!
Light some candles
The flickering light and scent of candles make a bath
seem more luxurious. My favourite candle scent is vanilla. I need to update the
ones I have at the moment because lime is a bit summery, I’d love an
apple/orange or spicy cinnamon one.
This photo was very risky, I was so afraid the speaker would fall into the bath! The things I do for the blog!
Play music
Just go onto Spotify and find a chilled out relaxing
playlist to listen to. Or else play some of your favourite tunes to get you
feeling happy.
Use a face mask
and hair mask
You can learn how to make your very own face mask here. While you’re in the bath is the perfect time to let a face or hair mask
do their job. I very rarely use hair masks but I think it’s a nice idea for a
pamper night.
Exfloiate your body
Scrub yo boday to get rid of dead skin cells and
smoothen your skin. I put the scrub on before I got into the bath even though
when I’m in the shower I use it during. I think it does help if your skin is
wet so the scrub can lather.
Shave your legs
I find it much easier to shave my legs in the bath
than attempting to do it while standing under the shower. There’s nothing like
the feel of freshly shaved legs!
Moisturise
Once you’re out of the bath it’s time to moisturise it
up. After using a scrub it’ll leave your skin twice as smooth, plus it’s needed
after shaving your legs.
Make a hot drink
Tea, hot chocolate, whatever your warm beverage of
choice is. I love me some herbal tea. My all-time favourite is peppermint but
chamomile is really good for relaxation and helping you sleep.
Do your nails
A pamper evening is a perfect time to give your nails
a mini makeover. First remove your old nail varnish. Then file your nails into
the desired shape. Now it’s time to choose your colour (I went for wine fingers
and grey toes!) and get painting. Don’t forget to finish off with a top coat!
I hope this post has given you some ideas for a
relaxing pamper evening. Tell me below about anything you guys like to do to
treat yourselves!

Great post! For me, the perfect pamper evening would definitely involved a nice, long, relaxing bubble bath (I love the bath melt by Soap & Glory), with a small bottle of red wine. =D <3 <3
