Last week I bought a couple of things and although I didn’t
get very much, I decided to do a haul anyway! I got this stuff on two separate days.
The first was in Cork with my friends, one of those days where I was like I WON’T
BUY ANYTHING but brought money for travel and food (i.e the essentials) and of
course ended up picking up some things in Penneys cause it’s just so hard to
resist cheap stuff isn’t it? The second was when I went to Dublin with my
cousin to meet up with two friends up there (who I met in Irish college). They’re
used to shopping in “the big city” (funny cause Dublin's tiny compared to most capital cities) so they knew a few cool places to go. Anyway,
on with the purchases!
First are three things from Penneys (Primark). This
top was on sale for €2 so I mean how could I refuse?? I like the colours and
pattern, very summery. I do already have a top similar to this, although it’s
not a crop top, so that’s a result of my impulse buying!
Earrings for me are like hair slides, I lose them all
the time. I always manage to lose one or both of the pair so I’ve given up on
nice earrings. These are definitely not the best quality but realistically they’ll
be half gone in a few months so I might as well buy the cheapy ones, plus I think
they’re actually really nice anyway!
I had wanted a headband like this for AGES. I remember
looking for them about a year ago and finding them nowhere. Then I’m lining up
to buy the top and earrings when I just see them they’re like a long lost
friend, waiting to be picked up.
Next onto the things I bought in Dublin. We went to
Forever 21 because I’m pretty sure it’s the only one in Ireland, well I haven’t
seen one anywhere else anyway. I had wanted a pair of black high waisted jeans
and although these aren’t high waisted I decided to get them anyway. I already
have a pair of jeans from forever 21 (see me wearing them here!) and they’re
soo comfy so I thought another pair couldn’t hurt.
This top is John Rocha but I actually bought it in a
charity shop. It's quite big but perfect for tucking into jeans. It was a St.Vincent de Paul’s charity shop and it had lots of vintage
stuff in there which was really cool. I want to start shopping in charity shops
more, you can sometimes get great finds in them and you’re helping out a
charity so it’s a win-win situation!
This last purchase is my favourite. I ADORE this
shirt. It’s really big so I’ll probably wear it as a sort of jacket over jeans
and a top. I just love this kind of shirt, comfortable yet cool. Also the
colours and pattern are amazing don’t ya think?
So, yeah that’s everything I got. I guess I won’t be
doing as much shopping once summer’s over so that’s the excuses I’m going to
use for random splurges!
