Simple Hair and Makeup for School

Hey guys!

So.. I start school tomorrow. BLEUGH. What's keeping me going is knowing that it's my last year and telling myself how much I'm gonna miss seeing my friends every day once we're finished. But anyway I thought I would do a little hair and makeup thing for ye of what I do on an average school day.

On my base I used the L'oreal True Match foundation, Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer and the Maybelline Fit Me concealer. I don't usually wear foundation to school but during summer I started wearing it a lot so I might start using it more for school too!

Next, my favorite part, contouring and highlighting. I of course used my trusty Sleek palette to contour under my cheekbones and also lightly contour my jawline and up my temples. I added highlighter on top of my cheek bones and put a small amount of blusher on the apples of my cheeks. Usually I skip blusher because I think it makes me look like a doll as I have quite a round face but, hey I'm trying something new! To set everything I applied my No.7 powder in Fair and my face was ready to go!
And lastly for makeup, onto the eyes. I used this mini bronze/gold eyeshadow (which I think is the cutest thing ever!) all over my lid, then put the sort of grey/bronze shade from the Revlon quatro into my crease. I lined under my eye with the NYX Wonder Pencil to open my eyes a little and also used a bit on my brow bone as a highlighter. Of course the final touch was mascara, my L'oreal did the job. I always think eye makeup looks really strange until you add mascara! I never fill in my eyebrows but to keep them in place I used my Essence Lash and Brow Clear Gel.

Now for hair. Often I can't be bothered to put too much effort into my hair because, well I'd rather spend more time eating breakfast! My go-to look is to tie the front section back and leave the rest down, because I hate having hair on  my face. To make this a little more interesting I did a small plait which I tied back with the rest of my hair and voila! Look complete!

I have to apologise for how awkward I look in some of these  photos, I was always halfway between 'smile' and 'just show the hair and makeup'! I'll have to work on my modelling skills I guess!

P.S My laptop is currently dead and my charger is broken so I'm writing this post on my brother's laptop (THANKS). I have the Blogger app on my phone but to be honest it's a bit crap for writing posts. Hopefully there'll be a post up during the week, I'll try my best!!

  10. I love the "natural" makeup look. Yes, when you graduate and part ways with your friends, you will sometimes think "I wish I was in school again." Ah! How I miss my younger years. :)
